Shirk or Neglect?

Shirk or neglect..i don't really get the meaning of the word shirk till now...i guess
shirk means to avoid work or a given duty...from the source Collins Compact Dictionary& Thesaurus. (2001). Glasgow, Great Britian: HarperCollins

was suppose to go to work today...
however i was not meant to be there...
for some reasons i don't seem to know...
ended up in doing nothing...
as one of the mighty part of the body is doing all the silly thinking...
